The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the body.  It starts in the low back, runs through the buttocks and down the back of each leg.  When there is pressure on this nerve it causes pain that radiates from the low back down just one leg.  This is called sciatica!   Sciatic pain can feel like an electric shock or jolt and is very painful.  Sometimes it can radiate down the back of the thigh and calf into the foot and toes.  Other symptoms may include numbness  or “pins and needles” in parts of your leg and foot, and occasionally a person will experience drop foot. (can’t bend your foot upwards at the ankle).

The most common causes of sciatic pain are a herniated or slipped disc, a narrowing of the spinal canal (spinal stenosis) or degenerative disc disease.  Sciatica is more frequent in older people or those that sit a lot. It is also common during pregnancy due to postural changes and weight gain.

You don’t need to suffer with sciatic pain because our office knows exactly how to remove the pressure off your sciatic nerve. Spinal decompression therapy is the best non surgical solution and has an 87% success rate.  Many patients even fall asleep during their treatment.  Don’t suffer any longer.  AUGUST 2025 SPECIAL IS $99 FOR A FULL EXAM, X-RAYS & TRIAL TREATMENT.
